What is the Question Archive?

Every question UPSC has set in Prelims GS Paper I from 2011 to 2026 — 1,630 of them — with answers and explanations. It opens on an analysis rather than a search box: which subjects and topics have actually carried the marks across nineteen papers, which are being asked more than they used to be, and which are fading. Each question has a permanent number like 2024-017 that you can link to or quote.

How is the revision different from other apps?

Most space revision on a fixed ladder — see it again in 1, 4, 10 and 25 days — whatever happened when you saw it. PRISM asks how you got it. A question you knew comes back in ten days and retires after three clean passes; one you guessed right comes back in four; one you got wrong comes back tomorrow. Guessing right and knowing are not the same thing, and in a paper that is now two-thirds statement-type the difference decides borderline results.

Why do I need an account?

One free account (email and password) covers the daily quiz, practice, mock tests, your dashboard and your progress backup, on every device. Your email also lets you opt in to study updates from Akhil. The Archive, the Revision Ledger and current affairs stay open without one. The mentorship application is separate and does not need an account.

Are these real previous-year questions?

Yes, mostly. The daily quiz mixes about 1,472 real UPSC Prelims GS Paper I questions from 2011 to 2026 with PRISM's own original questions: 8 PYQs and 2 originals every day, weighted by how often UPSC asks each subject. Each PYQ is labelled with its year and follows the official UPSC key (the 2026 paper uses UPSC's provisional key). Year-bound current-affairs questions are kept in a separate archive, because those facts may have changed.

Where does the news come from?

We collect public RSS headlines from PIB and national newspapers and filter them automatically for syllabus relevance. Feed availability varies. Open the original article and verify important facts.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. When you are logged in, your results are saved to your account and your daily-quiz progress is backed up automatically. Log in on a new phone or laptop and everything comes back. There is no separate key to remember. Forgotten your password? Message @Prismupsc_bot and Akhil will reset it.

Do I need to sign up to read current affairs?

No. Today's current affairs are open to everyone. An account is only needed for the daily quiz, practice, your study plan and insights.

Do you offer personal mentorship?

Yes. A founding batch of 12 students starts on 12 October 2026: a 16-week GS Mains and Essay phase, then Prelims mentorship until Prelims 2027. You get a weekly 1:1 meeting with Akhil, a midweek check, a weekly group clinic, 200 GS answer evaluations and 8 essays.
